A return to Scott's film, Alien. While the alien is attached to the host, it inseminates, or inserts an egg into, to host life-form. Upon maturity, the new-born alien rips its way out of the host's chest, leaving the host quite dead, and lacking subjectivity. The alien's emergence could certainly be read as a re-signification by breaching of boundaries, or abjection, in Kristevan terms.
