On one level, the term différance is an explicit and immediate reference to Jacques Derrida's term and concept of the indecidability of a term/word. On another level, though, it refers to a long-standing and long-storied history of the metaphysical concept of a space in between--the space between Being and beings in Heidegger, for example. In this case, then, what is the space between, the différance of, Culture and cultures?
