The Lawnmower Man was another immensely popular science fiction film. In the film, based on a Stephen King short story (though in reality, a rip-off of two much earlier science fiction novels, Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes and Synthajoy by D. G. Compton) in which a mentally challenged lawnmower man is linked to an alternate, cyber-reality. For an interesting reading of the film, see this.
