An adjective, frequently used in science fiction discourse, which refers to the late Philip K. Dick, whose fiction frequently centered around multiple realities, multiple time dimensions, multiple identities, and often centered on the struggle to determine a "real" human from a "simulacrum." Dick also employed the notion of anamnesis, the loss of forgetting, in recovering the memory of one's identity.
