Thomas Swiss is Center for the Humanities Professor of English and Director of the Web-Assisted Curriculum at Drake University. He is the author of two collections of poems: Rough Cut (University of Illinois) and Measure (University of Alabama). He is the co-editor of Mapping the Beat: Popular Music and Contemporary Theory (Blackwell), as well Popular Music and Culture, (Blackwell,1999) and Magic, Metaphor,and Power on the Web, (Routledge, 1999).
Andrew Herman is Associate Professor of Sociology and Cultural Studies at Drake University. He is the author of The "Better Angels" Of Capitalism: Rhetoric, Narrative and Moral Identity Among Men Of The American Upper Class (Westview, 1998) and co-editor of and contributor to Magic, Metaphor, and Power on the Web, (Routledge, 1999) and Mapping The Beat: Contemporary Theory And Popular Music (Blackwell).
David Henry
is Head of Education at the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School
of Design. He is Project Director of Art ConText, a partnership
between the RISD Museum and the Providence Public Library. From
1988 -1995 he served in the Education Department of the Walker
Art Center in Minneapolis, MN. His work appears widely.
