I am a PhD student at University of South Carolina who studies risk and public writing pedagogy. Occasionally I study other things such as new materialism, the rhetoric of the black power movement, and writing about music. Sometimes I do work that is not directly related to studying such as teaching, editing the text book "The Carolina Reader," copy editing for "enculturation," and coordinating The 2017 Carolina Rhetoric Conference. Rarely, I do things that are not work such as sleeping, eating, listening to music, and watching hockey. One day I will die, unless Socrates screwed up on his major premise.
