My research interests are humor theory and rhetorical theory. I've published on the stand-up comedians Lenny Bruce (RSQ) and George Carlin (New Writing) and am working on a paper on Dave Chappelle for the 2020 RSA conference. Going forward, I'm working on a monograph on The Howard Stern Radio Show and am looking to become more versed in sonic and animal rhetorics.
I am an Associate Professor of English and Philosophy and Director of First-Year Writing at University of West Georgia in Carrollton, and I live in Atlanta.
