Annette Vee received her PhD in English (Composition and Rhetoric) from the U of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently an Asst. Prof. of English at the University of Pittsburgh. She’s working on a book tentatively titled Proceduracy, which focuses on computer code writing as a form of literacy and uses a theoretical, historical, and occasionally ethnographic approach. She is also interested in issues of IP law (copyright and patent) and the ways that it shapes computer code writing practices amongst lay programmers.
