Ph.D. Candidate in Composition and Rhetoric at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My dissertation considers and theorizes non-institutional forms of public participation on the part of Hispanics/Latinos in order to account for our growth in social and political power despite long-standing complaints about on lack of civic engagement.
