V. Jo Hsu
Jo Hsu is an Assistant Professor of English, affiliate faculty in Gender Studies, and the Associate Director of the Program in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Arkansas. Their research and teaching focus on the interrelations among identity, narrative writing, and struggles for social change. Their current project examines storytelling among trans and queer Asian Americans—specifically, how these narratives cultivate solidarity, (re)negotiate communal histories, and enable social action. Exploring collaborative storytelling as a form of community-driven education, Hsu considers how such practices can foster more inclusive pedagogical theories and academic spaces.
