I received my bachelor degree in Journalism from the University of Houston and am working as a reporter for the Caller-Times newspaper in Corpus Christi, Texas. I am a second semester graduate student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. At the moment, I am researching conventional language in Quentin Tarantino's film Pulp Fiction, and how the transposition of gendered language can blend masculine and feminine identities. I also recently submitted a proposal to the CCCC conference on the application of new media in the composition classroom using the specific example of teaching students how to do library research.
