Allison D. Carr is a doctoral student in the rhetoric and composition program at the University of Cincinnati, where she teaches courses in digital composition, business writing, and in the FYC program. Her research is focused in the areas of affect theory and narratology, and her dissertation, Toward an Epistemology of Failure, studies affective and rhetorical failure in the writing classroom. Her work has previously appeared in CCC (with Laura Micciche) and Harlot, and she has a webtext forthcoming in Computers & Composition Online (with Hannah Rule and Katie Trauth Taylor).
